Who we are
Numina House (“Numina House,” “we,” “us”) is an independent digital studio. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website and any enquiry you send us.
Information you give us
When you contact us or start an engagement, you give us details such as your name, email address, the organisation you represent, and whatever you choose to put in your message. If we work together, we also hold the materials and information you share for that project.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our providers may record technical details such as browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, the link or ad that brought you here, approximate region inferred from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site working, secure, and useful.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function. Others help us measure how the site is used or how our advertising performs. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then work less well.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise our services on third-party platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and search and display networks. To measure whether those ads work, we may use the platforms’ measurement tools on this site — for example the Meta pixel and its server-side equivalent. These tools record events such as a page view or a completed contact form, and may set or read an identifier for your browser or device. They also let us show ads to people who have visited the site, and to build audiences that resemble our visitors. We do not use these tools to record sensitive information, and we do not use them to advertise on the basis of health, finances, beliefs, or other sensitive categories. Where these tools are used, the platform processes the data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy as well.
Your advertising choices
You can limit or turn off personalised advertising. In your Meta account, use Ad Preferences and the ad-settings controls; on other platforms, use their equivalent ad settings. Browser-level cookie controls, tracking protection, and Global Privacy Control signals also apply where supported, and industry opt-out pages such as youradchoices.ca, optout.aboutads.info, and youronlinechoices.eu cover many advertising partners at once. Opting out does not stop you seeing ads; it means the ads you see are less likely to be based on your activity.
The free site read
When you use the free site read, we fetch the public web page at the address you enter, measure technical signals such as page titles and the marketing tools present in the page code, and send the page text to an AI model through our AI provider to write the read. We do not store the page content. We keep the address you entered and the resulting read, and send them to the studio inbox so we can follow up if you ask us to. If you then send us your name and email, we use them only to reply to you.
How we use information
We use information to reply to your enquiry, to provide and deliver agreed services, to operate, secure, and improve the site, to measure and improve our advertising, to keep records, and to meet legal obligations.
Why we are allowed to use it
Depending on where you live, our basis is one of the following: your consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing, which you can withdraw at any time; performance of a contract — to deliver work you have asked for; our legitimate interests — to run and secure the site and understand whether our advertising works, balanced against your rights; or a legal obligation.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Beyond the advertising and measurement tools described above, which you can opt out of, we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information with service providers who help us operate — hosting, analytics, email delivery, and advertising platforms — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. They are bound to protect it and to use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
International processing
Our providers may store or process information in countries other than the one you live in, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires it, we rely on recognised safeguards for those transfers.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. Enquiries are kept for a reasonable period so we can follow up and keep a record. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to each platform’s own retention settings.
Your rights and choices
Subject to your local law, you may ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give you a copy, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw a consent you gave. You may also opt out of targeted advertising and of any sale or sharing of personal information. Email us and we will respond within the time your law allows. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not direct advertising to them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date below shows when it was last revised, and the current version always lives at this address.
